Customization and Ordering


Standard Offerings

All instruments come standard with a compound radius ebony fretboard, EVO™ gold fretwire, Rubner machines, two-way truss rods, bone or mother of pearl nut, a cast "James" tailpiece (or custom ebony, in the case of the Octaves) and a custom bridge, compensated for each individual instrument.  I also can accommodate most special requests regarding neck shape and nut width for no extra fee.

All mandolins and guitars include the standard offerings and come with a high-quality hard case. For OM and Dreadnaught guitar prices, please contact me for more information. All other mandolins and guitars are priced as follows:

• F5 Mandolin - $11,500
• Two Point Mandolin - $6000
• A Model Mandolin - $5200
• A Model Mandola - $5500
• H5 Model Mandola - $12,000
• Guitar-Bodied Octave Mandolin (Full Body) - $7200
• Guitar-Bodied Octave Mandolin with Cutaway - $8000
• JM5 Mandolin (5-String Hollowbody Acoustic/Electric) - $6500
• 16" L-5 Copy Archtop Guitar - $8200
• 14" Archtop Tenor Guitar - $7500

Extras

For an extra charge, add any of the following upgrades or customizations. Custom inlay work is available to give your instrument a truly original appearance. I am an authorized dealer of Calton™ cases, which feature fiberglass construction, increased durability, and a perfect fit for your instrument. You may also choose to upgrade to Waverly™ tuning machines. If you choose a model other than the F5, H5, or JM5, you may also add a pickguard.  Please inquire regarding these items.

To ensure that you secure a spot on my waiting list and lock in the current price of your custom instrument, I ask for a $500 deposit to place your order. The remaining balance is not due until your instrument is ready to ship. For custom options, contact me to discuss things like your preferred nut width, neck shape and depth, color, and binding scheme. I offer shipping throughout the United States.
